2018: “An Evening of Suspense” (High School Play)

This production was a very special one as it was the first school theater production that I helped co-produce and one that I would certainly like to remake some day with a bigger budget and crew. The production was actually a special presentation of two “One Act Plays”: “Trifles” by Susan Glaspell, and “Sorry, Wrong Number” by Lucille Fletcher. The production was meant as an anthological showcase of two thematically similar stories, produced almost in the vein of The Alfred Hitchcock Hour or The Twilight Zone. Both plays featured a vastly different setting and were each performed by a different cast which in turn made things more complicated to organize, but at the same time a more fun challenge to overcome. It gave us a unique opportunity to flex our set design skills as well as showcase our ability to produce and showcase two thematically similar stories but with a different cast of characters and setting. I am overall proud to say that I helped produce and organize a wide variety of items for this project, from pre-production, props, sets and costume design, all the way to organizing a soundtrack, audio, and special effects, on top of creating the usual promotional materials for the performance.
